The Art of Fine Wine

Highlights: Travel by road through the picturesque Waimea Plains visitng the studios of world renowned artists, and the cellar doors of award-winning vineyards. Groups of up to 200 people.

Itinerary:

10.00am  The World of WearableArt and Collectable Car Galleries provide an insight into the nelson-born phenomenon of Wearable Art. An enviable range of classic cars is displayed in an adjacent gallery within the stunning contemporary museum. - Great venue for an extraordinary off-site dinner functions.

midday   Visit  The Grape Escape complex for a Nelson Art/Taste Experience.  Serve lunch in The Grape Escape Cafe, and allow delegates to wander the complex. Taste locally produced wine and liqueurs, and browse galleries and gardens, all on-site.  Also visit the nearby Eyebright gallery.

1.30pm Tour the workshop and galleries of internationally-renowned glassblowers to view the fascinating art of glassblowing.

3.00pm  Visit Siefried Vineyard or Woollaston Estates for tasting. Boutique brewery tastings and tours available too!

4.00pm  View bright contemporary ceramic wear, with refreshments in the on-site cafe. Put your group to the test by sitting them at the potter's wheel to throw their own pot to be glazed and sent home as a memento.
