Autumn 09

Did you know Nelsonians were last year declared New Zealand’s happiest people in a UMR Research poll?

Nelson is well known for its glorious summers, but it is at this time of the year you can truly begin to appreciate the secret behind the locals' year round contentment.  Autumn in Nelson Tasman is rich with all the best things in life. Views across Tasman Bay could be straight from the cover of a chocolate box.  Just out of Nelson grape harvesters scuttle along country roads, hurrying to capture our liquid sunshine at its best, and those who know will tell you Autumn is the best time to enjoy the Abel Tasman National Park.

Conferencing in Nelson Tasman at this time of the year is like chicken soup for the soul of busy executives - its hard not to mix business with pleasure here.  I challenge you to talk to us about a proposal for your next conference and discover for yourself why we’re all so jolly happy here in Nelson Tasman!  Email Nicki van Asch at meet@NelsonNZ.com today.

From all of us here in Nelson have a great week!

Auckland here we come!

In just over two weeks we’ll be packing up the best of Nelson & Marlborough and heading north to visit you in your own backyard.  The Nelson Convention Bureau and their Marlborough partners invite Auckland conference organisers to join us at the Heritage Hotel on the 20th of May 2009 for a few hours of top of the south hospitality.

Venues, services and activities will be on hand to discuss your conference queries in a relaxed, informal environment.  If you would like to attend, please email meet@NelsonNZ.com

IMPORTANT - Please note the date change from our last newsletter, the Nelson Marlborough Conference Industry function now 20 May 2009.
